Hello! I’m Rachel.

I’m a licensed psychoanalyst in New York.

I help people recognize and disrupt the patterns in their lives that no longer serve them so they can re-orient to the past, ground themselves in the present, and embrace their unique future.

How Can I Help You?

Peer Consultation

Working with a client who has recently self diagnosed? At an impasse or in an enactment? All is not lost! Let me give you a primer on autism from within the neurodiversity paradigm.

Psychotherapy

World turned upside down? Or gone flat? Weekly psychotherapy and deeply getting to know yourself can stop the needle from spinning and orient you to where you want to go.

Psychoanalysis

Ready to go there? Not for those who just want everything to be ok, but are prepared to challenge themselves. A sometimes wild ride and serious investment in yourself.

  • What other clinicians are saying...

I had the privilege of joining Rachel Bean in a consultation meeting where she brought forth her kind nature and professional expertise. She provided me with helpful resources and insight regarding working with individuals within the Autistic community. I would recommend Rachel as a resource to others and would not hesitate to reach out to her again in the future myself. She is a wealth of knowledge and presents herself in a genuinely caring and supportive manner.

-Bethaney Clark, MA, Professional Counselor Associate

  • Before speaking to Rachel I was confused, unsure of where to start in order to build a more culturally competent practice when working with autistic people and neurodivergent populations. She gave me a solid foundation to address the needs of my clients and provided me with additional resources to continue to guide me. I loved that she was open to stepping into my theoretical lens and took time to understand my holistic alternative approach when working with clients. She helped me bolster my clinical experience with her expertise in autism. I came out of my consultation with Rachel feeling more confident on how I can incorporate mind-body approaches with individuals on the spectrum.

    -Julieta Rubio Hobbs, PhD, LPC-S

  • Rachel is wealth of knowledge on the topic of Autism. I consulted with her on the topic of late identifying autistic adults, and the information and resources she shared with me highlighted the gap in information I had about the subject, even as a Trained Clinical Psychologist. She is a seasoned clinician and a compassionate human, and I would recommend her work both with patients as well as with therapists like me who are looking to broaden understanding or training on the subject.
